How to Get Her Crushing for You

Gone are those days when people say fashion is a girl’s thing. Well, even if it’s true, it means a guy needs to be fashionable to get a girl’s attention. Hence, beyond knowing something about color, fabrics and style, when it comes to impressing girls, the most important is confidence. Confidence is fashionable.

To understand how to impress women with your clothing you must consider five things: Color, Cut, Context, Confidence and Cleanliness.
These are the cornerstones of male fashion. Note that cost does not factor into this list. Cost does not mean class.
Now let's address color.
Know that different colors send different subconscious and conscious messages to women. Consider carefully primary red or blue clothing. Two basic colors that send different messages
Consider other colors such as pink and green. Pink is viewed as a light-hearted, fun loving, confident and sweet color on men and women, so don't discount it just because you heard when you were a child "Pink is a girl's color."
Cut
Understand that cut is even more important than color! There are certain connotations that go along with the way your clothes fit you, not to mention, it can determine whether or not you look attractive

Avoid 'over-sized' shirts.
Context
There is nothing tackier than an inappropriate outfit. Wear what suit every occasion. Don’t try showing off your talent by dressing out of context.
Know when to dress casual, When to dress semi-casual,  Learn to wear semi-formal attire appropriately and when to go formal.
Confidence
This factor can never be over emphasized. Wear confidence as clothes. It appeals to every woman. It makes women feel secured around you. Confidence is the most impressive quality known to man (and woman).
Cleanliness

Cleanliness is the last point to touch on. This is not only a matter of impressions. It is also a matter of basic hygiene.

Be Fashionable Stay Fashionable

Being fashionable in any situation takes more than just putting on the right clothes, making sure your hair is in order and making your face look fresh. Every part of your outfit, including your nails and shoes, are important details. Great Design Inspires!

Some days you just don’t feel like spending an hour or more at the mirror or take your time to find the right outfit. I understand. Some days are potentially like that. This is why I advise that you go for the exclusive designs when you are shopping, meeting with your fashion designer or at your tailor’s. When your wardrobe is filled with simple but classy designs, be it casual tops, etibo, nativewearshirts, agbada or suit. You will always be at your best no matter the time you spend dressing.

Always be prepared for the unexpected when you leave the house. You could run into an old flame, or meet someone new, always look your best. Make sure your outfit is complete and that you have a neat appearance.

A potential employer or talent scout may be out looking for a specific look. You could be approached by a potential employer anywhere,  or be offered an interview.
Even if you are not in business attire, displaying confidence through a completed outfit and overall look shows others that you can be trusted.

When you have your look for the day together, you will feel better about yourself. A boost of self-confidence on a day when you are feeling less makes a great impression. It shows that you understand the importance of always looking your best and making an impression no matter where you are.

A lifted spirit does wonders for accomplishing goals. You have confidence and a will to succeed no matter what the day has to throw at you.

Why Clothing Fits Celebrities; Tailoring

For the last few decades, we have been trying to make our bodies fit the clothes when, in reality, we should be making the clothes fit our bodies.

The gentleman who is careful about clothing and style should also be in control of what looks good on him and his body’s proportions.
However, nowadays a well-dressed man with a self-assured confidence is often rare. What is in store today for men’s clothing can only fit a small percentage of average sizes which means not a lot to choose from.

Tailored clothing is the way to go if you wish to obtain a perfectly fitted suit, nativewear or anything clothing. Tailoring is a simple way to make clothes way more flattering. Getting your go-to pieces tailored can make a world of difference.

good tailor knows exactly how to fit everything from suit, shirts to nativewears exactly to your frame.
Most men typicality wear over sized clothes, not understanding the essential elements of a good fit or compromising fit for style.

Learn to shop less, invest in pieces you really love, and cough up the extra cash to get them tailored specifically for you

Tricks to Reinventing Your Style

It happens to all of us. We wake up one morning and everything seems odd and boring. We are sick of our hair, our wardrobe, and our all-around appearance. It is time for a change, but we aren't sure where to begin or how to start changing or reinventing ourselves without taking obvious measures.

Try These!

Imitate a Famous Person’s Style
Your first step to changing your looks is to decide on whose style you like and choose to imitate it.

Shake up your wardrobe. You're probably going to need to go shopping in order to give your appearance a makeover. But don't fret. Think about versatility when shopping.

Let your shirts do their magic. Shirts and tops are, of course, essential to any look. Tailor your tops to the kind of style that you're looking for. Even if you've got a really low budget, you can make some great changes with only a few new pieces.

Find a good tailor.
Your clothing should attractively fit your body shape, whatever shape that may be. Your clothing should look like they've been hand-made for you and this can only be achieved with a good tailor and a great fashion designer in your life.

A nip here and a tuck there make a world of difference. Something as simple as tucking your shirt, or wearing your smart native wear in a certain way, can have a huge impact on your style. Not everything is about making giant overhauls to your closet; the cuff of a shirt sleeve or the roll of a pant hem can totally transform you in an instant.

Fashion Forward!!!

Shiny suits or shirts can look loud and somehow cheap for men, quality men’s garments in lush fabrics, cashmere, linen or fine wool make much more ostentatious statement than a lot of glitter.

Ironing your clothes is key.  When you take a few minutes to iron your clothes, you will always be eager to step out and hit the town in style. Looking like you slept in your clothes isn't fashion forward. Your tailor will regret his effort, your fashion designer as well won’t be impressed, and neither will your date fall for it.

Go for quality over quantity. A well-made jacket or suit in a quality fabric may cost you quite a bit more than one that is cheaply made, but it will look better, fit better, and last longer than the inexpensive version.

It may seem superficial, but clothing makes a statement about who you are and where you want to go. Since people tend to judge us (consciously or not) at least in part based on how we look, why not look as if you’re ready for a promotion?

Dressing well, sometimes, doesn't necessarily mean wearing a suit and tie every day. Sometimes subtle details can make a distinct impression, especially on fashion-conscious folks.

When in doubt of what to wear, imitate your boss or leader not a runway model of magazine model.

Easy Ways of Staying Attractive With Your Dressing

Looking attractive begins with developing an everyday routine to maintain the health of your skin, hair, smile, and overall body, and radiate confidence through your posture and body language.

Wear clean clothes that fit you well.
As they say, the clothes make the man! You don't have to wear expensive items to be attractive, but your clothing can communicate a lot about you.

Always dress well. Yes, every single morning! Even when dressing casually for an ordinary day, don't just throw on whatever you have lying around. Select clothes that match and that suit what you'll be doing.

#BLACKATTITUDE

Develop friendship with a good fashion designer; this is important when you want to buy clothes or sew new clothes. You probably can't tell what looks good on you, what celebrities have modeled to become the in-thing, may not be a good fit for you. But, because the primary focus of a good fashion designer is clothes and how best it can be used, he will guide you to make a perfect choice.

Wear clothes that fit well. It’s not the amount of clothes that gives the fitting every guy aspires, less expensive clothes that fit look much better than expensive clothes that don't!
Don't try to hide your body. Whether you're embarrassed about being too large or too skinny, trying to cover it up with baggy clothing only makes you look worse.

Get rid of old clothes. You might love that old T-shirt from college, but it probably doesn't fit well anymore. Clothes and your body change size and shape over time. Even if they still fit, clothes that are more than two or three years old are probably starting to look tired or out of fashion.

Figure out which colors look good on you. The right color will make your skin look awesome, while the wrong one can make it look washed out and sallow.

Stock your wardrobe with timeless basics. These pieces shouldn't fall out of style too quickly, and they should be made of quality materials that will last a few years. Pick up items such as black native casual, black native senator wears, shirts these will remain timeless in Nigeria but we have a few fashion designers in Nigeria who can make native casual or native senator wears with perfect fit and finishing. Check the likes of Mudi Africa, Dr. Legendclothing Yomi Casuals and a few others. You'll always be able to put together a presentable outfit from these places.

Do laundry regularly. Some items of clothing can stand to go through several wears before they're dirty such as suits, jackets or pants, but shirts, underwear, and socks can only stand one wear before they need to be washed. Set up a regular schedule for doing laundry so that you don't spend the morning scrambling for something clean.

How to Look Smart, Rather Smarter

Looking smart is important in today’s competitive environment. Look smart by choosing clean, well-fitting clothes that match the occasion. You remember that we only get one chance for a first impression. You may be born smarter than anyone but when you come out sloppy and ditzy, you give people the impression of an illiterate dullard. Looking smart requires focusing on quality over quantity and choosing a few good quality necessary wears.

Let’s go through what you need to look smart, rather smarter.
·        Pants and jackets: Shop for pants that are tailored and fit you well in length, in the waist and in overall fit. They can be stylish and trendy. So long as they fit well you appear that you took time in putting the outfit together. Choose jackets that fit appropriately. No one looks smart in hugely over-sized jackets that drag everywhere.
·        Choose a Collar: Wearing a stiff neat collar makes you look smart and fresh the entire day.
·        Shoes: Wear shoes that are undamaged (free of deep scuffs and wear), that fit well and that can be polished (unless suede).
·        Dress according to your body type: Havoc is wearing size 8, when you are size 2. You will only be torturing the eye. Buy shirts that are cut to fit your body type. Look for lengths that are appropriate, not too short and not too long if they fit. Coordinate your look and make sure your clothes are ironed.
·        Take care of your skin: Get a skin care regime and stick to it daily. Choose things that compliment your face structure.
·        Keep your hair neat: Pay close attention to personal hygiene!
·        Accessorize smartly: Wear quality eye-wear. Seeing is a good thing. Get glasses if you need them.

What Does It Take To Be A Fashion Designer?

The “I am not a tailor, I’m a fashion designer” is one conversation I’ve heard one-too-many-times. I think because of the connotations of the Nigerian people about tailors, even tailors do not want to be called tailors again. Everyone now go by the name “Fashion Designer”.

I don’t see anything wrong with everyone changing their profession to fashion designers in Nigeria, even though being a tailor should also be honorable.

I think it will be best we get to know what the role of fashion designer is and how one can successfully become a fashion designer in Nigeria.

Fashion design is a form of art. To work as a designer, you should have an artistic and creative personality. You also have to be good at drawing and able to express your ideas in sketches.

You don't necessarily have to be a great artist, but you must have some special skills for combining colors, tones and shades. You also have to be able to work with fabric and use textiles in a creative and original manner.

A fashion designer is the creative mind behind any item of clothing, be it a high fashion runway garment or your regular pair of jeans or tee shirt.  They conduct research, develop a concept and vision for the type of person they would like to dress, create a visual image of their concept through sketches and oversee the various design and production processes that bring their sketches or designs to life in the form of a three dimensional garment to fit their intended market.

The tailors on the other hand, directly take measurement of the client and stitch the clothes according to the design given by the client
.
Now, it doesn’t mean that a tailor cannot be a fashion designer. In fact, it makes the whole process easier, if a tailor also has the skill of fashion designing.

To become a good fashion designer in Nigeria, you need to leverage on these rules;

Develop your skills. Successful fashion designers have a wide array of skills, including drawing, an eye for color and texture, an ability to visualize concepts in three dimensions, and the mechanical skills involved in sewing and cutting all types of fabrics.
Decide which designing field is your principal interest. For example;
·         Women's wear
·         Men's wear
·         Sportswear/fitness/leisure wear
·         Outdoor, adventure, outerwear
·         Bridal wear
·         Accessories
·         Casual

Ask your customers what they need.  Keep it simple and realistic. Extravagant sketches are nice on paper, but great native wears, casuals, shirts, pants or suit are better simple and classy. Simple designs remain the ultimate sophistication.

Assess your skills and personality honestly before pursuing a career in fashion design. You may love clothes but clothing is only part of the story when undertaking fashion design. You'll also need excellent communication skills, a willingness to work very hard, an ability to cope with stress, openness to having many different clients and/or bosses, an acceptance that there will be loneliness or isolation on occasion and an ability to be a self-disciplined self-starter.

Get educated about the business side of fashion.  Being a successful fashion designer not only requires talent and creativity, it also requires a sound knowledge of the business and marketing aspects of the fashion world.

Look for fashion design jobs. Or start your own fashion label but be prepared to be financially astute

Heading For A Wedding? Wear This....

Are you often late to wedding ceremonies because you just can’t seem to figure out what to wear? Your thought usually is to pick something right out of your closet that fits the occasion while at the same time feels comfortable, confident and you look well styled. Believe it or not this is something that can be easily achieved with just a little planning.

Plan your wardrobe the night before the event. How? Start by laying out the suits, shirts, ties, shoes, lapel pins that you think might work for the occasion. Style the outfits and make your choice of the best fit for the occasion. Iron those items that needed to be ironed and hang them nicely. Next morning just jump into your clothing and get your day started quickly.
It took me several years to start from the basics, if you try this and it works for you, then think of making it a habit and do it for all your clothes. This completely creates a great system for planning out a complete working wardrobe that not only fits your individual style, but also have you get dressed for any occasion at the drop of a dime.

Imagine having a plan for your wardrobe instead of haphazardly throwing your pieces of clothing together each morning. Now imagine how much time you would save.

See What Every Nigerian Tailor Does

Guess, you’ve probably made few trips to tailors in your life to take in (or let out) a dress or to shorten a pair of pants, shirts, suits, or native wears given to you as a gift. But there is much more our Skilled Nigerian tailors can do.

Choosing a tailor can be tricky – Nigerian tailors are loose and experience does not always equate to skill.  Oftentimes I meet someone who can do what I ask, but fails to point out what I asked for will ruin the look of the garment.  Other times I have been promised the whole world only to receive back a garment unfit to wear.  When you find a tailor that you like, one who understands your needs, please treasure that relationship because a skilled Nigerian Tailor can save you on a very bad day.

Most people confuse a Fashion Designer with a Tailor, the reason may be because both use the same tools and the end product is clothing. However there is huge difference in how they work. The tailors directly take client’s measurement and stitch the clothes according to the design given by the client. The Fashion Designer on the other hand is the creator of a new design. The Fashion Designer takes inspiration from different themes and draws new ideas.  We know the business of fashion and tailoring become more easy and intriguing if we have a tailor who is also a fashion designer.

What Nigerian tailor does that Nigerian Fashion designers may not do.

  1.         A Skilled Nigerian tailor makes, repairs, or alters clothing.
  2.                 He/she makes customized dress for a client who walks in his shop        professionally.
  3.              A Nigerian tailor usually makes dresses which clients might select from in magazines, newspapers, fashion shows etc.
  4.        .    A skilled Nigerian tailor is satisfied only when the client is happy; if the client isn’t satisfied with the clothes, the tailor either works to meet expectations or make the client whole by refunding his money.
  5.             A good Nigerian tailor offers guidance, on styles and can work on any body shape.
  6.             A skilled Nigerian tailor who understands his position and treasures his/her relationship with you will always be accessible. You want a professional that is accessible; when you find out a week before your wedding you’re a little too large for your once well-fitting suit, you want someone who can help you in a pinch, don’t you.
A good tailor is hard to find, but once you do they will help take any of your existing formal looks to the next level.

Fashion Mistakes You Didn’t Know About

Fashion mistakes are long-held habits you refuse to break, fashion clichés you still believe are true, and small things you’re doing or not doing. These mistakes are things we do or see people do every day, that probably they are not aware that they are making a fashion mistake. Like it sucks to see a beautiful woman in a beautiful outfit, then she passes you and you notice that her panty lines are obvious. Or a gorgeous man in a baggy shirts or in too many colors. This article intends to bring your attention to a few of these obvious fashion mistakes, so that you can change.

Too much Exposure:  Exposing much of your body has never been a good idea. A major reason why we wear clothes is to cover our private parts which makes you look responsible. Showing too much of anything doesn’t make you look sexy! It doesn’t guarantee you attention, or at least, not any positive attention.  Pay attention to what you bare, cover and how things look on your body instead.

Instagram and Facebook Slayers: I regret to assume you’d buy anything simply so people know you own it, but such is the world in which we live. Are you buying those clothes because you really, really love it, or because you want others to know you bought it? If you buy them, will you be able to truly enjoy them without posting them to social media? If the answer is no, you are one of the fashion blunders that fuzz instagram and facebook in the mane of slaying.

Over-sized Shirts: It has never been the in thing, shirts aren't supposed to be baggy. They're supposed to fit! Don’t hide in the folds of your baggy shirts and don’t try squeezing yourself into something that just wasn’t meant for your size.

Non-perfect tailored pants: Pants are very important because they serve as a base or anchor for the rest of your outfit. When they are not tailored correctly, you will end up totally losing your shape and looking sloppy. Your pant need a detailed tailoring because it needs to keep you in shape and structure.

Improper pants length: Have you seen someone wear pant and folds it because they length is either too short or too long. Folding jeans and chinos for men is a already fashion mistake. Don’t be the guy who has his feet swimming in a bunch of extra fabric. All it takes is a simple trip to the tailor to get them hemmed.

Wrong belt color: It is only wise that your belt color matches with the color of your shoes. And If you’re wearing casual shoes or sneakers, you should wear a thicker casual belt to match instead of a thin dress belt.

Rumpled clothing: There is no thump up for non-ironed clothes. Keep all your clothes pressed and wrinkle-free. It’s a good habit to always hang up all your clothes.
