Wardrobe Needs for Men Only

Most men always take a sober time to reflect on life and plans but they fail to turn around and look back at their wardrobe. The wardrobe needs of men are often neglected, especially when they assume

they are no longer boys.

We've rounded up a few of the most important wardrobe needs of men...

A 3 Piece suit that is well tailored and perfect fits: There are no more excuses anymore. You're an adult now. You need at least one tailored suit or two with perfect fit, preferably black and navy or black and gray.
Really, you should have both by now. What have you been doing all this time?

A nice blazer: A nice blazer will make sure that you don't overwhelm the room with a full suit when the occasion doesn't call for it. But it can also separate you from the crowd a bit.

Wristwatch: Even if you're not a watch guy, you should realize the importance of wearing a watch on some occasions. Drop a few thousands to get a timepiece that you can call your own.

A durable leather belt: Instead of going through belts every year like usual, invest in an expensive one that you can wear for years.

The perfect T-shirt: The perfect T-shirt is not a myth. You just have to find it. Probably get a good tailor, a Nigerian tailor or fashion designer if you are Nigerian base to sew to your measurement.

There is no better feeling than to wear a perfect fit shirt or best fit for any type of clothing

Nigerian Tailored Suit for Best Fit

As far as I’m concerned, there are far too many guys walking around in suits that don’t fit them and there’s no excuse for it.  I attend wedding occasions and I see men-on-suit, men-in-suit, men-by-suit, men-at-suit and so on. Hahahahaha! It’s funny though, but these names were coined according the fit of the suit on the men.
Ill fit can make a very expensive suit look tardy and trashy. I have also observed that
suit made in Nigeria are relatively less expensive to foreign suit or off-the-rack suit collection, the only different is that you will have to have a little patience to have your suit specifically sewn to your measurement.
Tailoring can make a relatively inexpensive suit look expensive, so for the guys out there who think that looking good in a suit is out of their price range – you’re wrong.
Off the track suit is already made with a client in mind, necessarily not you but when you meet Nigerian tailor or Nigerian fashion designer, they measure and sew to your specific, at the end of it, the jacket will fit you in the shoulder, it will hug your shoulders and encourage you to hold yourself upright.
Furthermore, the trousers fit you in the thigh rather than at the waist.
To help demonstrate what tailoring can do for a suit, my fashion designer at Dr.Legendclothing on 25, Fadunsi Street, Ogba Ikeja Lagos, Nigeria offered us to come and try on a few suits, and then get one tailored to our needs.

Nigerian Tailored Suit for Every Nigerian Male Resident

Personally, I think a man will look better than he does when he wears a suit. It can be worn at a variety of occasions and locations without ever looking out of place, all the while enabling the individual to look and feel truly stylish.
Hence, off-the-track suit that we call foreign suit or ready-made suit in Nigeria, will never be best fit even when it’s altered by a tailor to your specification. . Be it high street or a fashion designer, suits are all cut from a precise block in order to fit the specific sort of clientèle the brand is after and unless you are that client, which is very slim that you are, then forget about fit or perfect fit.
Of course, you don’t need me to reiterate the perfect fit factor to you. You already know that the most expensive and best quality clothing will mean nothing without a perfect a fit.  A good fit should always be your first priority when purchasing new clothing.

One way you can guarantee that a suit will fit you is if its tailored to your specification. And you can only get that when you have a good Nigerian tailor or Nigerian fashion designer sew to your measurement. That is if you are a resident of Nigeria. To be continued…

Men And Clothing!

The average guy doesn't  have a lot of ready-made excuses to wear a suit and tie. I get that. But looking good doesn't mean suit and tie all the time. It means cultivating the habit of wearing your best clothes as a matter of routine.

There is nothing like “Sunday best” Practice wearing your best and teach yourself that they’re just clothes and you wear them because they look good on you.

Different situations and occasions call for different clothes.  It’s a good thing to always consider your wear, will have to be ignored or accepted.
environment while dressing up. A good dresser does that. It’s disappointing that most men don’t do
this. There is just something that makes most feel it’s a man’s world, so anything they

I regret to announce to you that the fashion world doesn't think in your direction. Yeeh! Disappointing right? Sorry!

Environment to consider in dressing are physical and social environment.
Physically, you want to be comfortable or you should be comfortable.
Socially, you want to look respectable and you should look respectable at all times, without inviting trouble.

Make the effort to fit in while looking sharp.
If you’re always wearing the same basic outfit, rethink your strategy.
It will be best to stay away from anything that’s completely single-purpose, with one or two unavoidable exceptions like suits

This way you can mix and match to get more mileage out of individual pieces.

This is very easy to achieve if you stick to simple, solid colors for most of your base pieces. There’s nothing wrong with a little pattern and texture here and there, but if you make sure that most of your big items aren't overwhelming on their own, you’re free to liven them up with smaller accents when you want to make the look unique.

The Only Way To Get Her Attention

Do you ever go out and feel a bit… underdressed? It’s not that you think you should have worn a suit and tie. It’s just that you think there’s something missing. You want to dress better, you want to impress, whether you’re running errands, making the town or heading out for a first date. The good news is that dressing to impress is probably a lot simpler than you’re making it out to be.
This is how.

Get Groomed...!

It doesn't matter what the occasion is, grooming is important. You should be seeing your barber at
least fortnightly. Showers are a must every day. Also keep your facial hair groomed, whether that’s a close shave or just trimming the mountain man beard before you head out for the night.
Your grooming and personal hygiene are essential parts of your overall image.

A Word on Scent...!

We consider your scent as much a part of your outfit as your pants or shirt. You should pick a scent that’s distinctive, look for good cologne that you think matches your personality and the image that you want to impart on people. Don’t use too much, though.

Suit Up...!

Suit up! Invest in a good, expensive suit, and keep it clean and essentially ready-to-go at all times. Standard black is usually your best bet, for day as well as the evenings.

Facts to Consider About Your Clothing

1. People judge others based on their physical appearance. Think about it, how someone chooses to dress is usually one of the first things you notice about them.

2. Your appearance is one of the most basic things that you can change about yourself. If you look professional, well-dressed, or dressed according to the occasion, you’ll come across as someone who’s well-groomed, is capable of doing a job, professional enough to understand what is necessary for success, and has a good personality as well.

3. In order to leave a lasting impression on someone, you need to dress appropriately and according to the occasion. A good suit, ironed trousers and a shirt, polished shoes and a good watch will go a long way when it comes to making an impression on others.

4. A well-dressed person tends to stand-out. You immediately gain an edge over the others.

5. Your clothing shows that you are prepared, and did your homework.

6. There’s a ‘feel good’ factor associated with dressing well. Dressing professionally can make you feel better about yourself. It gives you more confidence

How to Get Her Crushing for You

Gone are those days when people say fashion is a girl’s thing. Well, even if it’s true, it means a guy needs to be fashionable to get a girl’s attention. Hence, beyond knowing something about color, fabrics and style, when it comes to impressing girls, the most important is confidence. Confidence is fashionable.

To understand how to impress women with your clothing you must consider five things: Color, Cut, Context, Confidence and Cleanliness.
These are the cornerstones of male fashion. Note that cost does not factor into this list. Cost does not mean class.
Now let's address color.
Know that different colors send different subconscious and conscious messages to women. Consider carefully primary red or blue clothing. Two basic colors that send different messages
Consider other colors such as pink and green. Pink is viewed as a light-hearted, fun loving, confident and sweet color on men and women, so don't discount it just because you heard when you were a child "Pink is a girl's color."
Cut
Understand that cut is even more important than color! There are certain connotations that go along with the way your clothes fit you, not to mention, it can determine whether or not you look attractive

Avoid 'over-sized' shirts.
Context
There is nothing tackier than an inappropriate outfit. Wear what suit every occasion. Don’t try showing off your talent by dressing out of context.
Know when to dress casual, When to dress semi-casual,  Learn to wear semi-formal attire appropriately and when to go formal.
Confidence
This factor can never be over emphasized. Wear confidence as clothes. It appeals to every woman. It makes women feel secured around you. Confidence is the most impressive quality known to man (and woman).
Cleanliness

Cleanliness is the last point to touch on. This is not only a matter of impressions. It is also a matter of basic hygiene.

Great Design Inspires!

Some days you just don’t feel like spending an hour or more at the mirror or take your time to find the right outfit. I understand. Some days are potentially like that. This is why I advise that you go for the exclusive designs when you are shopping, meeting with your fashion designer or at your tailor’s. When your wardrobe is filled with simple but classy designs, be it casual tops, etibo, nativewearshirts, agbada or suit. You will always be at your best no matter the time you spend dressing.

Always be prepared for the unexpected when you leave the house. You could run into an old flame, or meet someone new, always look your best. Make sure your outfit is complete and that you have a neat appearance.

A potential employer or talent scout may be out looking for a specific look. You could be approached by a potential employer anywhere,  or be offered an interview.
Even if you are not in business attire, displaying confidence through a completed outfit and overall look shows others that you can be trusted.

When you have your look for the day together, you will feel better about yourself. A boost of self-confidence on a day when you are feeling less makes a great impression. It shows that you understand the importance of always looking your best and making an impression no matter where you are.

A lifted spirit does wonders for accomplishing goals. You have confidence and a will to succeed no matter what the day has to throw at you.

Why Clothing Fits Celebrities; Tailoring

For the last few decades, we have been trying to make our bodies fit the clothes when, in reality, we should be making the clothes fit our bodies.

The gentleman who is careful about clothing and style should also be in control of what looks good on him and his body’s proportions.
However, nowadays a well-dressed man with a self-assured confidence is often rare. What is in store today for men’s clothing can only fit a small percentage of average sizes which means not a lot to choose from.

Tailored clothing is the way to go if you wish to obtain a perfectly fitted suit, nativewear or anything clothing. Tailoring is a simple way to make clothes way more flattering. Getting your go-to pieces tailored can make a world of difference.

good tailor knows exactly how to fit everything from suit, shirts to nativewears exactly to your frame.
Most men typicality wear over sized clothes, not understanding the essential elements of a good fit or compromising fit for style.

Learn to shop less, invest in pieces you really love, and cough up the extra cash to get them tailored specifically for you

These Fashion Rules Have Been Broken By Every Nigerian Fashion Designer

If there's one thing that fashion's pretty famous for, it's the long list of supposed dos and don'ts. Never wear with this. Ditch the horizontal stripes. Make sure everything matches perfectly. It can be stressful, to say the least, sucking the fun out of expressions.
Fashion rules are meant to be followed and taken seriously, but there are always exemptions because, rules are made for people and not people for rule.

A lot of these rules have been broken by every Nigerian Fashion Designer

Don’t mix different prints and patterns. Wearing patterns within the same color palette, but of different sizes is the perfect way to show people you’re fashionable. It can also look extremely fresh, and elevate your look from ordinary to street-style ready in no time
Don’t wear black and blue together. Most people are too scared to wear this color-combo, guaranteeing you’ll stand out from the crowd if you try it, but not fashion designers in Nigeria
Don’t wear heels if you’re tall. This mandate isn't only silly, but a little sexist, too. Stemming from a whole bunch of antiquated notions including abundant height isn't feminine, and a woman shouldn't draw extra attention to herself, this rule is one no woman should ever follow if they don’t want to. We know plenty of women who are almost six feet tall and still rock three-inch heels with grace (and we’re jealous.) and heels are graciously transformative and completely change the way you carry yourself.
Don’t match your shoes and your handbag. Matching both actually makes you look put together with minimal effort.
Dress for the job you want, not the job you have. If your job doesn't require you to wear a suit every day, don’t. Feel free to show your personality!
Wear what makes you feel awesome!

Fashion Advice for Guys

Young men are the future leaders of society, and dressing sharp is the first step towards becoming professional in your sphere. A lot of young men are starting their professional lives without a clue as to how to dress. This needs to change

Clearly, clothes may not make the man, but the right clothing can give a young man precious seconds to make his case and influence people.

Let’s get few fashionable advices for guys

Bad Fit Is An Epidemic: Crisp, clean, and well fitted clothing encourages others to take you more seriously. The most basic improvement you can make in your style is to make sure everything fits impeccably. What you wear should almost hug the shape of your body; without being tight.

Have at Least One Good Suit in the Closet:  No matter what your job is, you’re going to need a decent suit at some point.

Build from White, Blue and Black Shirts: White, black and light blue shirts are the backbone to a sharp wardrobe.  This is basically because these colors make approximately 90% of the shirts sold anywhere. Either of these colors looks good on most skin tone and body types as well.

Take Care of Your Clothing: Being young means having less money to throw around.  If you've strained out for a few pieces of good, quality clothing - a made to measure suit, a pair of expensive dress shoes, well sewn native senator wear, or native casual wears made by one of the professional fashion designers we have in Nigeria, or what have you, it’s worth a few bucks more to keep the clothes in good shape.

Never stay Under-dressedYeah right! Don’t overdo it, but dare to take some risks. It’s always better to be a little bit overdressed than under-dressed in any setting. All you have to do is think about where and who you’re going to be with and just step it up one bit. But make sure you’re not better dressed than someone who is more important in a certain setting.

Disregard trends: Beware of buying something just because it’s in vogue, stick to what you truly like.

Never underestimate the power of details: The last thing on is usually the first thing noticed.

Continually cultivate your image: Invest more time and money into your image. Cultivate your fashion sense. Your style is a huge mode of communication, and is worth caring for as much as your education, career, and relationships.

FASHION TIPS FOR BLACK MEN

Guys who have black skin tone usually feel that they have a very less options of styling, which is an absolute misconception. Well ok, dark skin guys need less efforts to make them appear great. However, paying a close attention to your skin tone and what fits you, leave a great impression on you even though you are surrounded by bunch of men.
Check out stylish cues that can give you a refreshing style.

No to White
The very first tip black men need to get is never go with the colors like white shirt or suit, it display you darker than what you are. Whereas few colors like light green and light yellow or lemon yellow matches perfect on your dark skin tone.

Go with light colors
Though you have the interest with striking and glittering socks types, colors such as black, navy blue and dark brown gives you optimum look in the formal attire. Remember to wear light shades of blue or beige if you are getting ready with casual wears.

Do Wonder With Formal
Formal suits and shirts look great for dark skinned guys. It looks professional and at the same time, adds a commanding attitude to your attire. One thing you have to be careful with the formals is the color combinations you choose for your tie and socks. Many people who wear formals miss out the right combination of formal attire. Hence take care in choosing the right type of tie and socks to your suit.

Always Moisturize
Moisturizer is very much essential for dark skinned guys as dark toned skin suffers from dryness problem. It prevents your skin from aging, and forms a protective layer against harmful bacteria’s and dust.

Sexy Beard for Black Men
Earlier beards were only for guys to express their sadness or failures. These days, it is so over that. The classic beard is one of the most common and popular type for dark skinned ones. Moustache Beard is another popular trend developed these days. This gives a rugged look to your face. You get an inbuilt cool attitude behavior if you are to try out this type of style.

What Male Nigerian Celebrities Think About Make Up

Think guys don't care about makeup? Think again. They may not know much about it or understand exactly how it gets applied, that's fine, we don't expect them to. But they definitely have an opinion when it comes to how much of it you should be wearing.

If you have ever wondered what men really think about women’s makeup, then wonder no more. Lets judge with what Male Nigerian Celebrities think about make up.
These celebrities are perceived to be wild and are known to use extreme make up girls for their videos, yet they have this to say about make up.

Many bloggers think Don Jazzy is ugly, I' for one don't think he is, not when you catch him in a nicely fitted blue suit. Thump up sir. About make up " i think a lot of makeup actually makes women look worse"

D'prince, with his "six pack" show off, though uncalled for, has this to say about make up. "You don't want to overdo it, if you don't exude beauty from within, no amount of make up will be able to cover it up.

D coco master, D'banj, an entertainer to the core. With all his here and there lifestyle, don't think he doesn't notice. His thoughts "I love seeing ladies in make up, but not heavy amount of it. Let it only highlight your natural beauty not change you to something you are not"

I must give it up for the fashion designer who made this suit. Your look cute in that black flowered suit.

This is another suit i admire here, i bet they were all made by Nigerian fashion designers. Olamide  is another your celebrity that many girls can kill to get his attention. His thoughs " I prefer it simple and sexy, no man want kiss a clown"
Iyanya, with all his tattoo, still have his opinion about make up. I am not a fan of tattoo but i will report guys reports on make up " make up should enhance natural beauty not defile it. Less is more"

I am the last person to suggest that any woman change herself for a man, especially when it comes to our appearance, but these findings are to help give women the confidence to pare back the amount of make up they wear and let their own natural radiance shine through

No-makeup makeup” is a beauty technique people use to give their face the natural appearance of looking like they’re not wearing makeup even though they are, in fact, wearing makeup. Try this technique and see your man fall in love all over or even more.

Fashion Runway Can Be Hilarious

Are fashion shows actually meant to represent clothes people wear? Or is it more about what this designer can do, and challenging the status quo, etc., things like that? Because so many items are so unpractical and actually quite ugly and ridiculous in real life

Wow! Can this fashion designer claim that the devil made him do this? I couldn't look at this twice. I wonder how many Nigerian fashion designers can make something like for fashion runway.

I often see pictures from runway shows where the garments look uncomfortable, impractical, and horrendously ugly, and this is just one of them.
No way! hmmmmm at least no one will ask if she brought bodyguard, because sure she did. Whats this cage doing behind the supposed wedding gown. i wonder the kind of suit the groom will have to wear after seeing this.

Oh I see, such a befitting suit for the groom. Really? what is this fashion designer thinking?

I just don't have words to describe this masquerade of a hard-work. Fashion designers can be cruel sometimes. What is this person thinking?

Hilarious Outfits

Fashion designers capture our imaginations and inspire us each season with beautiful collections that make us want to get side jobs so we can afford the looks we covet most. But as it goes in fashion, sometimes designers create a hit and other times it’s a total miss. Today, we’re giving a little recognition to hideous outfits worn by Nigerian Celebrities.
He unfortunately looks like a character from a horror flick. Ghostly. Under no circumstances in this universe or one far, far away is it okay for a full-grown man to wear a female full-body fancy suit. There is no reason to blind onlookers with such an atrocious outfit
What is this? If we didn't know better, we could mistake her as the mother of piranha plants, and that would make sense.  This is another dress which I fail to comprehend the rationale behind the selection.
There are 10 things i hate about this outfit. Its hideous x10
Eniola Badmus want to remember this day for life, unfortunately we don't.

Help for men!

Wear Your Best
Not many guys have a lot of excuses to wear a suit and tie. Unless for bankers or layers. That’s an outfit that’s mostly reserved for special occasions.
Cultivate the habit of wearing your best clothes. Make it a matter of routine, it’ll take a lot of the time to overcome the mental resistance.
Try to convince yourself that they’re just clothes; clothes that look good on you.
Even day to day errands, there’s no law against being well-dressed at the supermarket. People will just assume you’re coming from some important meeting or other  and probably treat you with a little more respect without even realizing that they’re doing it.

 Keep Your Environment In Mind
A good dresser keeps his environment in mind, both the physical and the social environments.
Different situations call for different clothes. I love my worsted wool suits and my cashmere native wears but they’re not the right choice every time!
Physically, you want to be comfortable. Socially, you want to look respectable at all times.
Make the effort to fit in while looking sharp. That means Tropical native and even Native Jumper when they are appropriate. Just make sure they’re nice, well-tailored with a perfect finishing; well-fitted, in good presentation, and flattering to your body.

Go for Interchangeable Clothing
Expand your wardrobe with clothes that work together, not standalone pieces.
This is very easy to achieve if you stick to simple, solid colors for most of your base pieces. There’s nothing wrong with a little pattern and texture here and there, but if you make sure that most of your big items aren’t overwhelming on their own, you’re free to liven them up with smaller accents when you want to make the look unique.
